Community Schools Proposal Link 

To submit a proposal for community school funds, please follow these steps. Ensure your lesson, project, activity, club, event, or field trip aligns with at least one of the following improvement areas: school attendance rates, chronic absenteeism rates, middle school dropout rates, high school dropout rates, proficiency scores in English Language Arts and Mathematics, high school graduation rates, pupil suspension rates, pupil expulsion rates, youth voice and purpose, career and technical skills, 21st-century skills, community-connected classroom instruction, or other locally determined measures through the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)/School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) or Community Schools Needs and Assets Survey. Additionally, proposals may address other school-identified goals, such as school safety, social-emotional learning awareness and improvement, or supporting families with basic needs. Complete the proposal form, providing detailed descriptions of your initiative, its objectives, and the specific area(s) of improvement it targets. Include a clear budget outline and any supporting documentation. Your submission first goes to the district's community schools' manager for transparency and is rerouted to our community schools site team for approval. In 2022 AUHSD received implementation grant funding from the California State Board of Education for eleven new community schools and Dale Jr High School was one of the selected school sites. Each community school consists of a Community Schools Coordinator and a Community Schools Teacher Lead who will be co-leading the implementation of the community schools’ model.
